Getafe's rising star Ruben De la Red has played down talk of a move to England next summer, but has refused to rule out a return to Real Madrid.
The 22-year-old former Bernabeu midfielder has impressed for Getafe since leaving Real last summer and won a call-up to the Spain national team for the midweek friendly against Italy.
De la Red told Sky Sports: "In the last summer I had contact with Real Madrid but was rejected and I am in Getafe and happy with my work.
"I do not want to decide directly, because Real have the option until the end of season for the re-purchase.
"I am satisfied with how things are going at Getafe. A transfer is on standby until June."
The player's agent, Manuel Garcia Quilon, confirmed that Real have an option to but back their former youngster.
He added: "The deal corresponding to Real Madrid says that if they pay 4.5million euros then the player could return to Real."
