Charlton Athletic have been in dire form recently and the fans feel it's all down to their owner Roland Duchatelet. So much so, in fact that some of them travelled to Belgium to let him know their feelings.

Hundreds of fans made the 600-mile round trip to go and protest against their owner. They were also joined by Sint-Truiden fans, another club that the 70-year-old owns, and they want him out of their club too.

Charlton are currently on their 7th permanent manager in Karl Robinson since the rich businessman took ownership of the club, and the fans are not happy with the sacking and hiring technique of managers from their club's owner.

In the the time of Duchatelet owning the club Charlton have slipped down from the Championship and are currently sitting in 16th place in League One. They have been on a awful run of form and fans believe it is all down to the owner and he needs to go.

The most notable sacking was Chris Powell when many emails were uncovered between the pair. It was said that Duchatelet was telling the former Charlton manager who to pick in his team, the formation that he would have to use, and he demanded to know why he was picking certain players over others.

The Valley supporters also staged a similar protest against their owner in November, on the weekend of Duchatelet's 70th birthday. It was the same message saying that they want the owner to go and to sell the club to someone else.

Whether these protests will achieve what they set out to do is another question, but certainly those supporters must be extremely passionate for Charlton given their time and cost to get their voices heard.
