Charlton Athletic's new striker Lee Novak is eager for his side to challenge for promotion in the upcoming season after signing a three-year contract at the Valley.
After scoring 15 goals in 38 games last season, the former Birmingham City and Chesterfield forward is "hopeful" his new side can compete and achieve promotion at the first attempt.
The 27-year-old who became Charlton's third signing of the summer, has played numerous times at the Valley is excited to pull the red and white and score crucial goals for the Addicks.
Novak said: “I’ve played there on a Tuesday night under the lights, on a Saturday afternoon and the atmosphere is always really good.
“It’s always been loud whenever I’ve played there for Huddersfield or Birmingham - the fans were brilliant for Charlton and it was a great stadium to play in.
“Now that my future is sorted, I’m buzzing. I’m looking forward to getting in for pre-season. I’m not looking forward to all of that running! But I can’t wait to meet all of my new teammates and get started."
