Bournemouth’s Jermain Defoe set to join Rangers on 18-month loan deal
• Former England striker to link up with Steven Gerrard’s side• Rangers also set to sign Steven Davis from SouthamptonRangers have reached an agreement to sign Jermain Defoe on an 18-month loan deal that will take the former England international up to the end of his contract with Bournemouth. Defoe, who turned 36 in October, joined Bournemouth on a free transfer from Sunderland in July 2017 but has made only four Premier League appearances this season, all from the bench, and has not scored since March last year.
