Rochdale have offered Joey Barton the chance to train with the club in order to build-up his match fitness. The midfielder has been forced to train away from the first-team this week after voicing his dissatisfaction with the board via Twitter.However, Rochdale manager Steve Eyre and assistant Frankie Bunn, who worked with Barton at City, have offered the 28-year-old the chance to join them for training at Spotland in order to keep up his fitness.Eyre: "Joey got in touch to wish us well for Saturday."He was never anything but good as gold for me and Frank."If he ever wanted to come and work with me and Frank again to keep himself in shape, he'd be welcome."
