Toon Wait On Guthrie

Newcastle are waiting on the fitness of Danny Guthrie after the midfielder picked up a calf problem against his former club Liverpool.

He took a knock and had to be replaced by Dan Gosling.

Alan Pardew is now waiting to hear the full extent of the damage, as Guthrie has been in fine form in recent games.

Alan Pardew: "Danny pulled his calf.

"We'll see on that one.

"Fabricio Coloccini will be missing for our games against Swansea and Bolton, but that is not so urgent now thanks to the form of James Perch, and we don't want to rush Colo back too early."
