Toon trio out of City clash

Newcastle United stand-in boss Chris Hughton has confirmed that a trio of key players will miss Saturday's Championship clash against Bristol City at St James' Park. Fabricio Coloccini, Joey Barton and Ryan Taylor will all miss out again after also sitting out Wednesday's 1-1 draw with QPR. Argentina defender Coloccini injured his groin and Taylor picked up a calf complaint during their excellent 4-0 success at Ipswich Town on September 26, while Barton has a foot injury and the length of his absence currently remains unknown. It will be hoped that they will be fit and available for their clash against Nottingham Forest on October 17 once the Championship recommences after the international break.
