Newcastle youngster Connor Newton scored against Manchester United Under-21 side in the 2-1 defeat, but says he won't forget the exposure.
Newton levelled from close range on the hour mark, but substitute Lawrence won the game for Man United in the 66th minute.
Connor Newton: “It’s great to get on the scoresheet, as I don’t do it very often.
“I suppose it is one I will always remember against Manchester United in front of the MUTV cameras, with people around the world watching in.
“The lads are a bit gutted, but we just have to get on with it.
“We need to work on our defending – that’s two sloppy goals.”
NEWCASTLE UNITED: Alnwick; Newton, Tavernier, Satka, Moyo; Hooper, Amalfitano (Knight, 42), Inman, Abeid, Maddison (Kitchen, 85); Xisco (Riley, 55).
