Toon Fans Not Happy About Friendly Fixtures

A number of travelling Newcastle fans have been caught out with the club only confirming pre-season dates yesterday!

Toon supporter Mark Thornton: "We make a holiday of following Newcastle on their pre-season tour every year, but what chance have we now to sort out flights and hotels to games in July and August - the peak time for holidays?

"The club confirm dates one day before they actually play in Germany! What chance does that give us?"

NUFC statement: “Due to the cancellation of the Vodacom Challenge tournament in South Africa, arrangements for the games in Germany and Hungary were made in less time than desirable, which has resulted in late confirmation of these matches.”
