Simpson Was On His Way To Wigan!

He is so sick of Newcastle Danny Simpson very nearly 'did an Odemwingie' on transfer deadline day ... according to reports today.

Sportsmail reported last week Simpson was close to a move to Wigan Athletic, but the move broke down with the player on his way to the DW Stadium.

West Brom forward Peter Odemwingie’s visit to QPR was caught on camera ... impson got away with it.

Wigan were in the market for defensive reinforcements on deadline day - they also looked at Tottenham's Adam Smith, who is on loan at Millwall - but the deal fell through after the clubs could not agree a free.

With Simpson's contract up in the summer, however, a potential transfer to Wigan could be revived, though West Ham and Fulham are also thought to be among those interested.
