Simpson To Sign For Reading

Despite rumours he was set to sign a new deal at St James' Park, it seems Reading look to have won the race for Danny Simpson.

West Ham, QPR and Fulham have all been on the trail of the 25-year old, but the Royals look to have beaten their Premier League rivals to his signing.

Alan Pardew said the club would not go beyond 25,000 per week, but Simpson is said to be ready to sign a three-year deal worth in the region of £30,000 a week.
