Simpson promises best is yet to come
Newcastle defender Danny Simpson has promised there is more to come from him as continues his football education. The 24-year-old full-back learned his trade as a trainee at Manchester United, and honed it during loan spells at Sunderland, Ipswich, Blackburn and St James' Park before winning a permanent move to Tyneside in January last year.Simpson said: "I am young still, it's my first full season in the Premier League. I have had little tastes of it over the years, but this is my first full campaign."The players we have got here - Kevin Nolan, Joey Barton, Alan Smith - they are helping all the young lads out, not just me."The new manager has come in and he has watched all the lads, he has reviewed the situation."He's had a chat and said what he thinks I can improve on, and that's what I am going to try to do and keep improving for Newcastle."
