Shearer admits Newcastle's survival depends on rivals dropping points

Alan Shearer has admitted Newcastle's Barclays Premier League future does not rest in their hands. Newcastle are currently three points adrift of safety with just four games to play and face a daunting trip on Anfield on Sunday. Although Newcastle's fate now rests with others, their new manager is confident the club's around them will drop more points before the end of the season.
