Alan Shearer is convinced that Newcastle United will survive on a dramatic final day of the Premier League season.
The Magpies head to Aston Villa on Sunday in the final relegation spot and needing to better the result of 17th-placed Hull City in order to survive.
"I am totally convinced we will get out of it, yes, and I think more importantly, so do my players," said Shearer.
"I asked them to forget last weekend's result (losing 1-0 at Fulham), whether we thought we played well or whether we thought we played badly or had good decisions or bad decisions.
"That's gone, we can't change that. What we can change is this weekend and I believe if we go there and win, it will be a very, very good day for us.
"We know what's at stake, we know what's riding on it and I'm pretty confident we can go there and give our great fans something to shout about, I really am."
Meanwhile, Shearer has confirmed that Habib Beye will miss the trip to Villa Park.
The right-back has been ruled out with a hamstring injury, but fellow defender Jose Enrique (hamstring) and Michael Owen (groin) are both expected to be fit.
