Robson Makes A Point About Pardew's French Revolution!

As we reported yesterday ...

... Fairs Cup hero Pop Robson says he fears Newcastle and Sunderland will bring in a flood of foreign imports at the expense of homegrown players.

And if the European U21 Championship is anything to go by ... he has a point!

English players are suffering because of the foreigners flooding the Premiership - and England's record of three defeats in three games shows how desperate it is becoming.

Spanish champions Barcelona are leading the way by buying home-grown Spanish talent.

Spain secured top-spot in European U21 Championship Group B with a comfortable 3-0 win over Holland last night - although both sides had already booked their places in the semi-finals.

Alvaro Morata, Isco and Alvaro Vazquez were all on target as Spain booked a last four clash with Norway.

Holland, who made 11 changes to their side, will now face Italy on Saturday in the other semi-final match.

Bryan Pop Robson: “I fear that Sunderland and Newcastle will concentrate solely on the overseas market.“They might go for cheaper options, younger players, European players, Croatians, Italians – but they still have to be good enough to play in the Premier League, which is pretty demanding.“But you read where probably Norwich is the only team in the Premier League that is fielding enough of a percentage of English players, and I feel that’s a sad situation“It’s a worry to me in the English game. I don’t know where the development is going to come from.“The Premier League has spent a lot of money on academies but we need to keep working on it.”

WE TELL IT AS IT IS - NO BULLSHIT!
