Premier League 2014/15 club preview: Newcastle United

Unfortunately, another great club that seems to be heading nowhere fast. What with Alan Pardew practising his MMA on the sidelines, Joe Kinnear scouting players that already play for the club and Mike Ashley…well, being Mike Ashley, it’s no wonder the Toon Army are never sure what team is going to turn up!

Having lost star man, Yohan Cabaye in January, from thereon Pardew seemed to lack the ideas to get the best out of his team. They have already ‘lost’ Debuchy to Arsenal and seem to not require the skills of the diminutive Ben Arfa, where are Newcastle going to look to for squad building. The back, the front, the boardroom?

Well, they have signed Jamaal Lascelles and Karl Darlow from Notts Forest….and gave them back. Alexandre Lacazette has seemingly decided that the bright lights of Lyon are more preferable to what he has seen on Geordie Shore.

All joking aside, they have signed a clutch of players that are seemingly squad builders, so where are they going to find that killer edge?

Linked with:

Wifried Zaha, Alexandre Lacazette, Loic Remy

So Who?

Well, to cut it short, now that Remy’s move to Liverpool hit a snag, they may want to recall the striker who enjoyed a rich scoring streak on loan last year. They desperately need a new Shearer….or maybe even the old one would suffice!
