Pardew: 'Toon Fans Were Brilliant'

Alan Pardew has praised the 1,200 travelling fans for going to Bordeaux for a fixture they knew would be difficult.

Alan Pardew: “We saw a lot of them in the town.

“They were brilliant.

“They did not see the greatest performance from us, but it was nice to see them at the end and say thank you.

“They have travelled all over Europe with us this campaign.

“We have qualified and that is the main thing.

“We can look forward to February and put this to bed.”
