Newcastle Skipper Returns To Action

Chris Hughton confirmed that midfield battler Alan Smith would be back in the United squad for the trip to take on Posh. The United vice-captain has not featured since the win at Watford at the end February. Smith sustained an ankle injury in training before the 6-1 hammering of Barnsley. Chris Hughton: “It will be good to welcome Alan back. “He’s been out for a while and we didn’t want to rush him back. “He’s a big player for us.”
