Newcastle back in Premier League

NEWCASTLE UNITED will be playing Premier League football again next season. Nottingham Forest's failure to defeat Cardiff City at the City Ground means that Newcastle can't finish third in the Championship and promotion has been guaranteed. The Magpies' players, due to kick-off against Sheffield United at 7.45pm, have just been given a rousing reception by the Geordie supporters that have already entered St James' Park. Forest's goalless draw closed the gap to 14 points but with only four matches remaining, Newcastle can start to think about top-flight football again.
