New Trial Date For Lua Lua

Former Newcastle United winger Kazenga Lua Lua will face a retrial over an alleged attack - but the date has been fixed to keep him free for any potential Championship play-off games.

Lua Lua denied affray after violence erupted outside a Tyneside nightspot.

A jury at Newcastle Crown Court was discharged after failing to reach a verdict earlier this month.

Now 22-year-old Lua Lua is to face a new trial before a fresh jury.

And at the request of his legal team, the date of June 17 was chosen to come after the multi-million pound play-off final at Wembley
