New Toon Coach - Or New Toon Manager?
Alan Pardew is keen to bolster his backroom team by adding another coach in the summer.
The Journal claims:
"Newcastle’s hierarchy are planning a thorough review of a season which has ultimately fallen below expectations.
"The Journal understands Pardew is keen to bolster United’s backroom team, which consists of John Carver, Andy Woodman and Steve Stone – with Willie Donachie responsible for the reserves and Peter Beardsley as football development manager.
"It would appear bringing in a new face to help out is one of the ways Pardew would propose to improve his squad next term.
"United sources have indicated this will be a busy summer at St James’ Park with the squad set for some-thing of an overhaul. The departures of Steve Harper and Danny Simpson are expected but Newcastle are prepared for other players to leave during the close season.
"The club seem ready to play hardball with Fabricio Coloccini over his future, with San Lorenzo expecting to lure him back to Argentina but unable to fund the transfer."
Perhaps a new coach on the training field could be a big help, considering our record of goals from dead-ball kicks.
United have taken 375 corners since they last scored, making them the laughing stock of the Premiership.
Considering Man Utd have scored from 15 corners this season, and we haven't scored from a corner in TWO YEARS ... perhaps it's time for a change.
