QPR boss Harry Redknapp wants to sign Remy and has considered a move for Aston Villa defender Richard Dunne, according to the Daily Mail.

It is claimed Redknapp has been given £20m to spend in January, with a bid of £9m placed for Remy, a £7.5m offer planned for Rennes midfielder Yann M’Vila, while West Ham’s Mohamed Diame – who has a £3.5m release clause – is also a target.

Newcastle are believed to be keen on Remy and were seen as favourites to sign him.

Paris St-Germain’s Diego Lugano, 32, is another player said to be on Redknapp’s radar.
