Newcastle United boss Glenn Roeder has added French duo Antoine Sibierski and Olivier Bernard to his squad.
Attacking midfielder Sibierski joined the Magpies from Manchester City for an undisclosed fee on transfer deadline day.
The 32-year-old, who scored 11 times in 92 Premiership appearances for City, has signed a contract running until the end of the season at St James' Park.
Left-back Bernard returned to Newcastle on Friday morning after being released by Rangers the previous day.
The 26-year-old made over 100 Premiership appearances for the Magpies before leaving the club following a contractual dispute in January 2005.
Disappointing spells at Southampton and Rangers followed and he will be hoping to get his career back on track at his former club.
