Lovenkrands focused on Fulham
Peter Lovenkrands is urging his Newcastle team-mates to take the confidence from the Middlesbrough game into the weekend's clash with Fulham. The 29-year-old scored his third goal for the Magpies since signing in January as they defeated relegation rivals and near neighbours Boro 3-1 at St James' Park on Monday. The win, the club's first in 10 games, took them out of the bottom three on goal difference and the Dane feels that three more points over the Cottagers at home on Saturday would all-but secure their Premier League status. With manager Alan Shearer calling for his players to maintain the momentum brought about by the Boro win, Lovenkrands insists that the visit of Roy Hodgson's men is in the forefront of the players' minds. "We will have to forget the game against Middlesbrough and focus on Saturday's game against Fulham," he told DR Sporten. "It will be a fantastic and important game for us. I of course hope that we can take with us the self confidence from the last game and use it to win against Fulham."
