Lovenkrands back with Toon

Newcastle United have brought Danish forward Peter Lovenkrands back to the club on a three-year contract.

The 29-year-old spent the second half of last season at St James' Park, scoring three times in 12 appearances.

Lovenkrands told the club's official website: "I'm delighted to be back and I'm very pleased to be here.

"It was the best move for me and my family. I loved my time here, I love the club and I love the fans.

"But I can't forget that we were relegated. It was devastating and it was horrible to be part of it.

"But that's why I'm back here - to help us get back up and I'll do everything I can to make that happen."
