Newcastle United manager Kevin Keegan has admitted that he would like to bring in at least another two new players before the Premier League season gets underway.
Keegan has remained relatively quiet in the transfer market this summer, bringing in just two players to bolster his squad.
He told the club's official website: "I'd still like to strengthen and I'm confident we'll bring in at least two, possibly three, more faces.
"And if those players are of the quality of the likes of Jonas Gutierrez and Danny Guthrie then we'll take our chances.
"Add to that all the players we've got to come back then we've got a strong, quality squad with competition for places."
The Magpies remain heavily linked with Deportivo La Coruna defender Fabricio Coloccini, with the Argentina stopper seemingly poised to move to Tyneside in the next few days.
