Hurt Nolan vows to fight for his shirt after happy comeback against Boro
Kevin Nolan admits it hurt being left out of the Newcastle squad by Alan Shearer against Portsmouth. But the former Bolton captain, recalled for his best performance in Monday's win over Middlesbrough, says he is ready to play his part in their relegation fight. He said: 'A couple of weeks ago, I wasn't even in the 18. 'That upset me a bit and it was just about trying to get back and prove people wrong. 'You can have a sulk but you've just got to get on with it, work hard, and hope your chance will come.'
