Hull 1 Stoke 2: Tigers boss Brown hopes for TV draw to lift spirits

Phil Brown will be watching Monday night's game between Newcastle and Middlesbrough knowing the psychological damage that it could do to his sliding Hull side. Hull's match against Stoke had been described by Brown as being as important as the Wembley play-off final last season. Defeat means they could drop into the bottom three for the first time this season if there is a winner at St James' Park. Brown faces a return to Bolton on Saturday, where he was assistant manager, and is praying for a draw in the North-East derby to keep his players' spirits up. Full of it: Ricardo Fuller (R) rubs salt into Hull's wounds as he celebrates what could prove an extremely costly goal for the beleaguered hosts 'I won't go to the game but I'll watch it on television,' said the Hull manager.  Hull v Stoke: How the action unfoldedHull lose skipper Ashbee for climax to relegation dogfightHULL CITY FC
