Gutierrez: 'Hughton Brings Happy Memories'

Chris Hughton will get a warm reception on his first return to St James's Park and Jonas Gutierrez has a lot of respect for him and his assistant, Colin Calderwood.

Jonas Gutierrez: “I have good memories from when Chris was at the club.

“He’s a nice guy, Colin Calderwood as well.

“I hope they have a great season, but not in the next game because we need the three points!

“After that, I hope they can have a really good season. He’s a great manager, and also a good person, which is more important for me.

“He took charge when it was really difficult. We got promoted with him, and had a good beginning in the Premier League.

“They went to Birmingham and did really well. Now he’s at Norwich. That’s football.”
