Dan Gosling's United career has been hampered by injuries since he joined from Everton two years ago ... and it happened again last night.
He was recovering from knee surgery when he joined the club, and has only made one Premier League start for the Magpies as he continues to battle back to fitness and form.
The hip injury suffered by the midfielder in last night’s draw against Olympiakos was today being assessed by the club’s medical staff.
Gosling had looked bright until his withdrawal in the 32nd minute.
Alan Pardew: “It was a shame for Dan.
“He got a little twist in his hip.
“He thought he could play his way through it, but he couldn’t. We’ll have to wait and see.”
