Geremi makes Magpies exit

Cameroon international Geremi has left Newcastle United and joined Turkish side Ankaragucu.

The 31-year-old midfielder moved to St James' Park from Chelsea in the summer of 2007 but featured in only 54 games for the club, starting only four matches this term.

Geremi's first taste of football in England came with Middlesbrough during the 2002-03 campaign when he appeared in 33 games during a loan spell from Real Madrid.

He joined Chelsea in the summer of 2003 and played more than 100 matches in his four years with the club.
