Newcastle United midfielder Emre insists he is happy at St James' Park and wants to stay put next season, despite being linked with a summer move away from England.
The 26-year-old Turkey international has endured a torrid second season with the Magpies, but wants to prove his worth in the future, having joined United for nearly £4million from Internazionale.
He said: "I am really happy to stay at Newcastle. I like the city, the people, I have a lot of friends here now.
"This is my second year and I am really happy here. I have three more years on my contract and I do not see any problems next season because I really want to stay here.
"For us, maybe Europe is finished and we do not have any worries about going down.
"Now in these three weeks, we have to try to get nine points. If we work really hard, we can get those nine points."
