Demba Ba Could Miss Liverpool Fixture

Demba Ba's latest injury makes him a doubt for Sunday's game against Liverpool.

The striker suffered a shin injury yesterday and was today being assessed ahead of the club’s visit to Anfield.

Alan Pardew: “It’s a little nerve in Demba’s shin.

“We’re not sure (if he’ll be fit) – it’s an unusual one.”

Ironically, Liverpool have been linked with a January move for Ba, who will again be available for £7m because of a release clause in his contract.
