Cahill For Toon? Absolute Rubbish!

This morning the agent of former Everton striker Tim Cahill went on a mission to "taut" his client to Premier League clubs ... including Newcastle United.

Cahill is currently in the States playing with New York Red Bulls, but last month the 33-year-old said he was keen to come back to England on a short-term deal when the Major League Soccer season had ended.

The report says: "A return to Goodison Park seemed his most likely destination but Press Association Sport understands Sunderland , Newcastle, Tottenham  and QPR are also interested in signing the Australia international."

Let me tell you now - and fresh from our link with St James' Park - he will NOT be heading to Tyneside.

This is another case of an agent making a lot of noise to draw attention to the player.
