Seymour Pierce chairman Keith Harris is confident of finding a buyer for Newcastle United in the coming months.
Harris, who is the head of the investment bank charged with finding a buyer ready to take the club off current owner Mike Ashley's hands, is confident that a suitable deal can be struck.
Ashley put the club up for sale after coming under fire from disgruntled supporters following Kevin Keegan's resignation as manager in September.
"I'm quietly confident there'll be a good solution for Mike and the fans," Harris told BBC Radio Five Live.
Several consortia have been linked with a takeover at St James' Park following Ashley's announcement and Harris believes the current financial state of the club has been the reason for such interest.
He added: "In his time of owning it, Mike has cleaned up the balance sheets and Newcastle is one of the few clubs that has no debt whatsoever.
"So that makes it very attractive to an incoming owner."
