Barcelona to raid Newcastle for 8m man Cabaye

Newcastle United are in for a fight this summer to keep hold of French superstar Yohan Cabaye with reported interest coming out of Spain in the form of the Catalan giants Barcelona.

The Sun are reporting that Barca are debating whether to make an £8million swoop for Newcastle’s Cabaye (26), or Rennes midfielder Yann M’Vila (22).

The sun states that sources at the Catalan club say they are favouring Cabaye, who joined last summer from Lille.

Newcastle's Alan Pardew will obviously be reluctant to lose any of his stars but fears Barca’s interest will leave the Frenchman unsettled.
