'Patience' Is The Last Thing Pardew Needs!

Alan Pardew believes that patience will be the key in his quest to add a new striker and a centre-back to his squad in the January transfer window.

Alan Pardew: "New signings are not imminent, for sure.

“I’d be surprised if I got a striker over the line before Norwich, if I’m honest.

"The youngsters in the squad need to see Krul, Perchie, Gutierrez, a few more senior players around the dressing room.

“That would give me a boost if I’m a senior player.

“But in the short-term, we have problems.

“We’re going to have to freshen it up again - the boys have given everything in the last few games.

“Hopefully, we’ll get a side good enough to win at Carrow Road.”

“That’s what happens – one goes, and another comes to the fore.

“I think it wasn’t unexpected – we all knew it was a possibility – but the fact that it’s done leaves the door open for somebody else - like Shola.”
