Orlando City boss Adrian Heath says he would "love to sign Alan Smith". The 30-year-old is in the final year of his contract at St James' Park and has been told he will not be offered a new deal. Having snubbed an offer to join Leeds United - his old club - he insists he is going nowhere unless any future club pays him the £60,000 per week he is getting at Newcastle. Adrian Heath: "We have spoken a couple of times so far and it seems at the moment he wants to sit out the last year of his contract at Newcastle. "I'd love to take Alan over here at some point. "So I may have to wait but if anything changes, he can come to Orlando whenever he wants. "I know he'd like it here and I'd love to sign him."
