Xisco To Return To Spain?

04 July 2011 16:59
Spanish striker Xisco's three-year nightmare on Tyneside could finally be at an end. United paid £5.7m for him under the orders of Dennis Wise in 2008 and manager Kevin Keegan had not even heard of him. The striker is desperate to make a return to Spain, and the Magpies have circulated his name to a host of Spanish sides. Deportivo la Coruna are thought to be keen on taking the Majorcan back – if they can thrash out a fee for the former Spanish Under-21 international. Depor would prefer a loan deal for the Spaniard, but United are really looking to find a club willing to take Xisco, who has also spent time on loan at Racing Santender, on a permanent deal. Xisco spent four months on loan at the Riazor last season and scored twice. But the Spanish outfit were relegated to the Segunda Division. Xisco is still a fans favourite with the Galician club.
