Xisco Sits Out Three Games

Toon striker Xisco will sit out the next three Newcastle United games after seeing red at the Stadium of Light. He was sent off in last night's reserve-team derby against Sunderland for kicking out at Jordan Cook. Xisco won't be available until the September 26 home game against Stoke City. The 24-year-old was shown a straight red card late in the first half, with Newcastle already 2-0 up thanks to a goal from Nile Ranger and a Peter Lovenkrands penalty. They went on to win 3-1, as Ryan Taylor found the net after the break, and Cook scored from the spot late on. Peter Beardsley: "I was absolutely delighted - from the first minute until the last. "It was the attitude of the players that shone through - I couldn't have asked for more."
