Word Of Warning To Mike Ashley From Toon Star

08 July 2012 13:17
Yohan Cabaye has told Mike Ashley to "do the right thing" and resist any bids for the star players this summer.

With Derel Llambias saying "every player at Newcastle has his price", the club is vulnerable to offers for the likes of Cabaye, Fabricio Coloccini, Hatem Ben Arfa, Cheik Tioté, Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse.

Alan Pardew has signed 18-year old Gael Bigirimana and told the press "he can threaten our stars" ... but we don't expect him to REPLACE one of them.

We don't exect a £500,000 kid to come in - and Yohan Cabaye move on.

The France star Cabaye wants owner Mike Ashley to hold firm or risk overseeing a return to mid-table mediocrity.

Yohan Cabaye: "Demba scored so many goals for us so it's going to be important to keep him - and keep all the big players.

"I hope the board are going to do the right things to keep them.

"I don't know if we can go higher than last season, but we have to keep doing the right thing."
