Williamson handed three-match ban

NEWCASTLE UNITED defender Mike Williamson has been found guilty of violent conduct and handed a three-match ban by the Football Association.[LNB] Williamson had denied the charge, which related to an incident involving Bolton Wanderers striker Johan Elmander, and his case was heard at a regulatory hearing this afternoon.[LNB] But the 27-year-old has been found guilty and learned that he will be missing for this Sunday's visit of Chelsea, when team-mate Fabricio Coloccini will also be suspended.[LNB] Steven Taylor and Sol Campbell are now both expected to play at the heart of the defence together for the first time - a pairing that will remain that way until Coloccini and Williamson return at least.[LNB]
