Will Pardew Keep His Promise?

Alan Pardew made a promise last week to ...

... defender Mike Williamson saying: "After the fabulous results against Chelsea and Tottenham, I won't change a winning team."

But with Williamson convinced he will be in the starting line-up, Pardew seems to be having a rethink.

Alan Pardew: “We’ve also got Steven Taylor and Sadio (Massadio Haidara) available, so there’s real competition in the back four which I didn’t have two or three weeks ago.“As I say, the picture is great today, but the picture needs to be really, really good on Tuesday with three points in the bag.“It’s no good me talking it up. My message to fans is not to be complacent as well and think we’re going to win.“They need to give us the backing that they can. If we can respond to that, we’ll find ourselves in a good position.“We’ve got everybody fit with the exception of Paul Dummett, who probably isn’t available for this particular game."
