Why Doesn't Pardew Do Something About This!

05 March 2013 12:04
We (at NU Mad) have had many messages from West Ham and Reading supporters suggesting Alan Pardew was "clueless" with dead-ball tactics when he was at those two clubs.

And considering Newcastle's horror record at corner kicks ... they could have a point.

Taken from our message board -

ToonAl: "Must Be 300 Corners Since NUFC Scored From One. It was Wolves in 2011. Ba knocked one in.

"What's wrong with our set piece takers? Cabaye can hit a free kick, pick a pass but is as much use as a man sent off when a decent delivery is required. He even hit one out of play at Swansea.

"He isn't the only one either. It seems no player at NUFC is capable of a decent delivery.

"Could it be the lack of ability of the players in the box? Do they actually practice this particular set-piece?

"We must be the worst in the League."

Zippity: "Our set pieces are incredibly sh!te, it has to be said.

"Only successful one this season was a short corner to Benny who ran into the box and drew the foul against Spuds.

"Before that I can only think of Nolan's header from Shola's flick on.

"That was a good'un, though."
