Why Chase A Player Who Has Turned Us Down FOUR Times?

PSG striker Mevlut Erdinc will inform Newcastle United today whether he wants to move to St James' Park ... despite having already knocked us back FOUR times! The Daily Mail says Erdinc is (again) about to snub a £7million move to Toon and stay at Paris St Germain. The 24-year-old is due to give Pardew an answer today but the signs are he will become the latest Ligue 1 striker to reject a move to Tyneside after Kevin Gameiro and Gervinho. Magpies boss Alan Pardew had seemingly given up on bringing the Turkish international to St James’ Park and he appeared to turn his attentions towards Chelsea striker Daniel Sturridge. But he is still keen on the striker and it is understood that the deal for the 25-yea-old isn’t dead. Pardew: “I have always worked well with young sides. The one at Reading was full of exuberance. That is something we missed last year. “But guys like Demba Ba, Marveaux and Cabaye have great pace and energy.”
