A stunning first-half display earned Newcastle a well-deserved win over West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns.[LNB]Alan Pardew's men were looking to take advantage of Liverpool's defeat to Wigan on Saturday and tighten their grip on fifth place.[LNB]Not only did goals from Papiss Cisse and Haten Ben Arfa do just that, but the victory also drew Newcastle level with fourth-placed Chelsea.[LNB]A defensive mix-up gifted Albion striker Shane Long a second-half consolation goal but the home side were unable to make further inroads.[LNB]More to follow...
