Were We Lucky To Miss Out On Remy?

QPR's battle for Premier League survival has suffered another setback with confirmation striker Loic Remy had suffered a groin injury in training.

QPR manager Harry Redknapp got the better of Newcastle when he signed the striker ... after Mike Ashley had paid for the player to fly from France to London to meet Alan Pardew.

He skipped the meeting and went to Loftus Road to sign for QPR!

Remy only joined the Hoops earlier this month in an £8million move from Marseille and scored on his debut against West Ham, but now appears set for a spell on the sidelines.

Harry Redknapp: "He tore a groin muscle yesterday in training. I have no idea at the moment how long he will be out.

"It was in the last minute of training, and he just struck a ball, felt it go.

"We will have to see how he is tomorrow and Monday, then take it from there."
