We were second best - Hughton

Newcastle caretaker manager Chris Hughton admits his side were second best as they surrendered their unbeaten start to the season in a 2-1 defeat at Blackpool on Wednesday.[LNB] The Seasiders were dominant throughout, but United had led in the first half when Andy Carroll headed home six minutes before the break. However, their joy was short-lived as Brett Ormerod levelled on the stroke of half-time and Jason Euell earned the hosts the points midway through the second period.[LNB] "I am bitterly disappointed, Blackpool were better than us in every department, especially in the first half," said Hughton. [LNB] "We need to regroup quickly as we have another big game at the weekend against Plymouth. [LNB] "I thought we came into the game a lot more strongly after the break and we finished quite well and were perhaps unlucky not to have grabbed an equaliser but over the course of 90 minutes we were not the better side on the night."
