Villas-Boas Stands By His Keeper

Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas has confirmed goalkeeper Hugo Lloris will start Sunday's Barclays Premier League fixture at home to Newcastle.

The France captain played on in the 0-0 draw at Everton despite being knocked unconscious and Villa-Boas will recall his number one after resting him for the 2-1 Europa League win over Sheriff.

A number of other players can expect recalls but Danny Rose (toe), Sandro (hamstring), Zeki Fryers (groin) and Emmanuel Adebayor (foot) are all likely to miss out.

Newcastle skipper Fabricio Coloccini could return to the starting line-up.

The central defender has missed the last four games with a groin injury, and his absence has coincided with that of Steven Taylor, who is not expected back from his hamstring problem until after the break for international matches.

However, midfielder Cheick Tiote, who limped of against Chelsea last weekend with a muscle strain, is expected to resume at White Hart Lane.
