Newcastle striker Mark Viduka's international career appears to be over after the former Australia captain was left out of Pim Verbeek's 30-man squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Qatar, Bahrain and Japan next month. Viduka, who has not played for the Socceroos since the 2007 Asian Cup, has managed to work his way back to full fitness and played a handful of games for Newcastle this season. However, the 33-year-old's club future is uncertain following their relegation from the Premier League while Verbeek's decision not to include him in his squad for the three matches in June all but ends an international career which has spanned 43 games.
